December is coming and it’s that time of year again when Christian people start preparing for their one of the biggest festival called Christmas. They celebrate their festival on a grand scale. On this special day people meet and give merry Christmas wishes to each other, do a party with their family, exchange gifts with family and friends, decorate Christmas tree etc.
But you know what the real meaning of Christmas festival is? Is it only exchanging gifts with family and friends, sending the card in the email to your loved ones? Turkey dinners with family and friends, decorating Christmas tree and shouts of” Merry Christmas” to those who pass us in the streets? Do you think so this is really a Christmas?
On the Christmas Eve people, no everyone has money to celebrate this day with a grand party. There are people, who don’t have money to buy presents for their children or to exchange gifts with their loved ones. Many people are saddened on Christmas as they think of their loved ones who will not be able to come home on Christmas Eve for various reasons. In reality, Turkey dinner on the Christmas night may only be a wish for some people.
But still Christmas festival is a season of great joy. People believed that it’s a time when God shows his great love for us. They believed that this is the time for great healing and renewed strength. Christmas is celebrated because people believed that on this day their Lord Jesus was born. On this big day, people celebrate the birth of the child, which they believe that sent by the god. The birth brought great joy to the world. Angels, shepherds all shared their excitement of knowing about this event. As they knew that the baby was not an ordinary baby.
Hundreds of year before one of the predictor had told about his coming. Just to mark the way for those who were looking for this special baby the star stopped over Bethlehem. Lord Jesus was born to mother marry and father Joseph.
Christmas has celebrated in India also if you visit the state of Tamil Nadu or Goa city of Maharashtra you will find that there are many Christians living.
